November 2019
I have been off of chemo drugs for three months. This
was for the purpose of raising my blood level. A week prior to seeing my doctor I had
an MRI. Then on Friday, November 29, I went to see my doctor and was informed that I
have another brain tumour. As this tumour is further back in my brain,
I was told that it was best to take cancer drugs as opposed to having another
brain surgery. I was disappointed to hear that I have another growth in my brain,
however, I will be stepping up and working hard to stay as healthy as possible.
I will be starting my new chemo drugs on Wednesday, December 4.
On Saturday, November 23, my niece Stephanie and her husband Mark had a
beautiful baby girl. The little girl’s name is
Charlotte. In addition to going and seeing my new little one in this world, I
was told that I now will be defending my PhD thesis on Tuesday, December 3, at the
University of Manitoba. I have been working on my PowerPoint presentation. Despite my new brain cancer I am excited about
presenting my PhD thesis. God has been so good to me. Every day I am thankful
for the many positive things that are happening in my life.
Charlotte is beautiful!
Stephanie and her little daughter Charlotte.
My sister Bev and I, along with our husbands,
watched the Winnipeg Blue Bombers win
the Canadian football final.
My friend Iris drove me to Morris to visit my dad.
My dad went to his church in Blumenort and
spoke about his life - including his latest year
in a hospital.
We will be cheering GO CHRIS GO! on Tuesday. That is so great that you will be defending your thesis. Wish we could be there. Ms Charlotte looks so happy in your arms! Great to see your Dad doing so well - would have liked to have heard his talk. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. As Marivic says - you never cease to inspire and amaze!! Love Paul and Marivic
