April 2019

I continue to take my liquid drugs for two weeks then take a one week break. These drugs are beginning to make life a little more difficult for me. I have started to drag my feet more, have lost more hair, and have fallen off my bike several times. Although these drugs and life experiences are difficult at times, I am hanging in there. I take lots of water and sleep a lot to try and stay as healthy as possible. I have so much to be thankful for.  Took mom and dad out for Bev's birthday.    My sister Bev in love with my granddaughter Molly.    My friend Iris and I spending some time together.   Me and my cousin Cindy enjoying our family Easter lunch.

I am thrilled that my liquid drugs have worked out very well this month. I took two weeks of liquid drugs, then was off for one week, then went straight back to another two weeks of liquid drugs. My blood tests clearly showed good results. On Monday, March 25, I had an MRI at the Health Science Centre. I then met with Dr. Pitz on Friday, March 29. I was told that my tumour has not changed. So far so good!   After my amazing meeting with my doctor on February 22 (my brain tumour had decreased once again), my husband told me he would like to take me to the Dominican Republic for a one week holiday. I was ecstatic that this was a possibility. It worked out so well that we were able to go for one week when I was off my liquid drugs. My husband invited my sister Bev and her husband Terry to come with us. Unfortunately Terry couldn’t make it but Bev was free and was excited to join us. We flew to the Dominican on March 14 and stayed at a hotel in Cabarete. We had such a wonderful time.
