June 2019
Dr. Pitz now continues to be my doctor. We met on
Friday, June 14, and discussed my choice to move forward. As I was now off the
research study, I started taking chemo drugs. I still have not had an MRI but I
feel good. I have recovered very well and feel great. It will be interesting to
see where my brain is at after my next MRI.
It was wonderful going to our summer cottage every
weekend this June. We had a lot of work to do. I helped the best I could then
always went for an afternoon nap. My sister and brother-in-law (Bev and Terry)
came out every weekend to help us with many things that needed to be done. It
was wonderful having them out and getting help from them.
Mom and dad are doing quite well. Every weekend that I
get back from our cottage I always get a ride to go see them. I am grateful
that they are hanging in there. I now enjoy spending time with my cottage
friends, and going out with my relatives and friends when I am home. I continue
to enjoy life!
Colleen, Ross and I used to work together in the Interlake School Division (ISD).
At the beginning of June we went out for lunch.
My son Ryan took Finn fishing. What fun!
My friend Anne often comes to Winnipeg to pick me
up and take me to my mom's, or drives me home from my mom's.
I am so grateful for such wonderful help.
My friend Hugh often picks me up and takes me out for breakfast.
My friends Paul and Marivic arrived from the Phillipines.
It was wonderful seeing them and having breakfast together.
Students from Lightly School (ISD) sang for me.
We had a lovely time together at their colony school.
My husband and I went out for lunch with Myles.
Myles and I worked together in the ISD.
Don (our daughter-in-law's father) has worked hard to build our cottage.
We are very grateful for the work he has done.
My granddaughter Molly is fun to spend time with.
My husband bought me a delicious cheeseburger
on my birthday. We were on our way to the lake.
My husband and I painted a dark red color for our cottage garage.
Sam and I enjoyed watching the Canada Day fireworks.
Hello dear friend and happy, slightly belated birthday. So nice to see your beautiful smile in the photos you posted. I keep you close to my heart and in my prayers every night. Love you and miss you xo
