Waiting for My Next Surgery
My next brain surgery will take place March 29, 2018, 7:30 a.m. at the Health Sciences Centre. I have spent my last three weeks enjoying time with family and friends. The following pictures are an indication of the fun I have had.
Cross country skiing at Bird's Hill Park with my sister Bev.
...my sister Bev, and Steph's husband Mark.
My auntie Olga and cousin Cindy came to visit me one morning
- Bev, Olga, Cindy, me.
I went out for dinner with Interlake School Division (ISD)
finance staff. We had a lovely time.
Margaret Ward has become the ISD superintendent!
I am thrilled for her! She was the assistant superintendent
when I was the superintendent.

Delores is my high school friend. She is always willing
to give me a ride when needed. My driver's license was taken away
at the end of July when I found out I had a brain tumour.
Pat, an administrator in the ISD, took me out for dinner.
She gave me a beautiful video from colony students.
At the Health Science Centre 24 vials of blood were taken
for my upcoming surgery and Toca 511 research trial.
Thursday night dinners are always with Stephanie...
...and her husband Mark.
Fun selfies!
My sister Bev came with my husband and me to
the Cottage and Cabin Show to get ideas for
cottage renovations.
Ari, my sister's child, came over for dinner.
We had a lovely evening.
Had lunch with two friends, Gail and Iris. They are both board
members for Grannies Gone Global - a charity I started which
provides support to grandmothers raising grandchildren
in Manitoba and Uganda.
My handsome nephew Pete is home from
Vancouver to take flying lessons.
Many Sundays I go out for breakfast after church
with my friends Allyson and Cindy.
Celebrating my father-in-law Bill's 89th birthday!
Singing Happy Birthday to Bill - my sister-in-law Michele
accompanied us on the Ukulele.
Enjoying time with Bill and my sister-in-law April.
My son Ryan came to his grandpa's birthday party.
I have spent a lot of time with my parents
and Bev.
Belinda, a principal in the ISD, had time to go
out for lunch during Spring Break.
What a beautiful day to go for a walk!
My brother-in-law Allan took me to
Jets hockey game. They won!
At the Jets hockey game I met Alan Campbell,
chair of the ISD Board of Trustees.
Chris, I didn't realize you had a blog until about 5 minutes ago. Thank you Delores for sending me the link. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue praying for you. Would love to stop by and see you sometime.
